1. Existing means for information to and warning of the public will be developed further with emphasis is on the new media (SMS and Cell Broadcast, VoIP and Internet).
2. How to handle critical mass crisis communication and avoid blocking of the Emergency Call Number 112, for instance by a separate call centre and number for exchanging information with the public will be considered.
3. The provision of information through a GIS system with selected base stations to enable the citizens in specific regions to take appropriate action will be studied as well as possibilities for communication with vulnerable groups and in the mother tongue of individuals
4. The opportunities for enhancing the quality of the situation awareness of the crisis management authorities with the received information from the public will be explored.
